A Tenant in Common holds an undivided interest in the property, along with other owners. A Joint Tenant has a right of survivorship to the other owner(s)’ interest. Upon the death of one owner, his/her interest is automatically transferred to the other surviving joint tenant(s) without probate if you are unsure, you should consult with our office or an attorney for a full explanation.
